Hiring and Induction
Hiring
We have a wide variety of people from different nationalities, religions, gender, civil status, marital status, sexual orientation, disability and communities employed on the Estate. Furthermore, we have team members that are living in direct provision who have qualified to be allowed work within Ireland who have joined our team and also employed Ukraine team members that had fled their country when war broke out.
Induction
During induction which takes place within the first two weeks of employment, all team members are briefed on our diversity, equality, and inclusion policy. They are also briefed on how to raise a grievance and possible consequences of team members not following this policy. Every new employee also participates in the following Failte Ireland courses;
- Diversity and Inclusion
- We are all different, and our differences can generate contrasting points of view that contribute to creativity and innovation. Successful organisations embrace individual talents and value each team member. This short course explores the advantages that a diverse and inclusive workplace brings to an organisation and its staff and how you can contribute to a welcoming work environment.
- Dignity at Work
- Every employee is entitled to dignity and respect in the workplace. The course discusses creating and fostering a culture that is safe, free of bullying and harassment and sexual harassment.
- Customer Awareness
- Having business and customer awareness is fundamental to long-term strategy and success.
