The north east counties of Cavan, Monaghan and Tyrone are host to many fine pike angling venues. With its idyllic setting in Co. Monaghan and its variety of accommodation to suit all preferences, Castle Leslie Estate is the perfect location for a fishing holiday in Ireland. Combine a luxury stay on the Estate with excellent fishing in one of Ireland’s best-preserved lakes, and day trips to a variety of quality angling venues in the vicinity.
The Leslie family have been the custodians of the stunning ‘Glaslough’ or Green Lake for generations. The lake is brimming with monster pike, and fishermen widely consider it to be one of Ireland’s best preserved loughs. In fact, in 1991 a fisherman reeled in a catch weighing 38lb 9oz (17.5kg) and broke Ireland’s 18 year record.
Choose to stay in the Castle, the Lodge or if you prefer your independence, why not reserve a self-catering Old Stable Mews. These luxury self-catering homes are perfect for groups and families.
