This year staff members of Castle Leslie Estate participated in the annual Society of the St. Vincent de Paul Annual Christmas ‘Giving Tree’ Appeal.  They donated over 100 unwrapped presents for all age groups to this very worthy cause.  All  presents will be going to families in much need in the local North Monaghan area.

Castle Leslie Estate CEO, Brian Baldwin commented:

“Our staff our committed, hard-working individuals who always strive to give back.  I would like to commend them for coming together to support this very worthwhile appeal”.

About the Society of St. Vincent de Paul

The goal of the Society for the St. Vincent’s de Paul is to fight poverty in all its forms through the practical assistance to people in need. They offer direct, personal assistance that is non-judgemental and based on the need of the individual or family.

In addition they provide a wide range of services for vulnerable people through their local offices, shops, resource centres, housing, day care and holiday schemes amongst other things.

Today there are thousands of people in crisis… No food in the cupboard. No heating in their home. No end in sight. St. Vincent de Paul want to help these people.

Even in an improving economy,  it can still take just one small problem to tip someone into crisis and poverty. But a little help at the right time can change everything.

This Christmas, over 140,000 people in communities across the country will ask SVP for help with food, fuel and basic clothing.  The SVP “Giving Tree” Appeal.
